Principle of measurement
- Pulsed time of flight technology is used for distance measurements. In this technology, short laser pulses are sent to the target and reflected pulses are received by the receiver sensing electronics. The time between the transmitted pulse and the received pulse is calculated. Distance measurement time is based on a constant speed of light. This principle allows very fast distance measurement for objects with poor reflections. The pulse version can be up to 6 kHz depending on the sensor version.
